According to his mother, Chris came into this world with a wrench in one hand and a Hot Wheels car in the other. “I was born this way,” proudly states Chris. No one in my family was into cars like I was. I spent hours cutting out pictures from Hot Rod magazines and pinning them to my wall. I lived, loved, and dreamed about cars.
Before coming to work at The Atomic Speed Shop, Chris was a metal fabricator. He ran plasma cutters and water jets for 8 years at Materials Fabrication and Testing. That experience helped him realize what he truly desired to do, to be a technician working on custom cars.
At Atomic Speed Shop, Chris is deemed a “floater,” as he can work everywhere that the speed shop might have a need. His boss is extremely pleased with his work.
When not at work, Chris is found working on his ’88 Mustang GT that he purchased himself at age 17. Six months ago, he found and purchased a ’95 Mustang Cobra that was the identical version of one his dad had owned. It is 1 of 498 made in white.
On a more personal note, Chris knew his wife was “the one” when she requested to go ride on the “Dragon” for her birthday. Their honeymoon was split between time spent at the Ford F Series Super Nationals and Boling Green, Kentucky for the Ford Fest.
