Jordon Butler

Jordan was born in Evanston, Wyoming and moved to Tennessee when he was 5. He was raised in Crossville, and left at 18 for Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he attended the Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology to become certified as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician. Jordan earned an associate degree in Aviation Technology in 2013. He worked at a private owned showcase motoring shop in Tulsa until 2015, where he oversaw all the cars’ work. From there, he went to work in a hot rod/street rod garage in San Springs, Oklahoma. In December of 2019, he returned to Crossville, Tennessee to take care of his family.

Jordan worked at the Crossville Municipal Airport as the lead technician until the covid-19 pandemic shut the place down. People quit flying and the aviation field was not possible for work.

On a mission to get a job and planning to interview at 3 places, Jordan felt confident that his Atomic Speed Shop interview went well, being his first stop. He went on home after the interview and had a gut feeling that the Atomic Speed Shop was going to be the perfect place for him to work. He likes smaller, family-based shops, unlike large corporations.

He credits his Dad for starting him into cars. At the age of 12, he worked with his Dad in a small shop on seasonal projects from boats, 4-wheelers, and cars. He built race-cars with his Dad from 2004-2008. His Dad owns Butler Trucking Company in Crossville. Jordan’s favorite car is a ’70 Chevelle. His Dad owns a ’72 Chevelle that he has had since 1994. Jordan’s favorite movie is Finish Line.
